CHICAGO -- South Loop gas leak led to evacuations and traffic delays near Roosevelt Road and State Street on Monday morning. No one was injured.

A construction crew hit a natural gas line in the area around 11 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs. The scene was secured by 12:20 p.m.

Stores and businesses in the area were briefly evacuated, and streets were closed while crews worked.
