Sprint restores service after outage affecting Chicago, surrounding suburbs

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Service has been restored to Sprint customers in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs after the wireless service provider experienced an outage Thursday evening.
The outage affected voice and text services, but not 4G service, a Sprint spokesperson said.
Service was restored just after 9 p.m.
