ALSIP, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people were taken into custody after crashing a stolen car used in a gas station robbery into an Alsip home, police said. No one was injured.

An Alsip police officer spotted a speeding Ford SUV on 122nd Street early Wednesday morning. As the officer made a U-turn to follow, the vehicle crashed into a home in the near West 121st Place and South Lockwood Avenue.

Two people ran from the crash. They were pursued on foot by police officers. The 17-year-old driver and 18-year-old passenger were taken into custody.

Police said the vehicle had been stolen near 63rd and Ashland in Chicago and used in a retail theft at a gas station in Alsip.
