Truck driver sought in McKinley Park hit-and-run, cyclist in critical condition

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police request the public's help finding a truck driver who struck and critically injured a cyclist in the 3600-block of South Ashland Avenue.

The white semi truck was traveling south on Ashland Avenue in Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday when the 47-year-old cyclist was hit. Police said the semi kept going after the collision.

Police released surveillance photos of the truck involved in the crash. The offender is described as a Caucasian man in his 30s with a slender-to-medium build, blonde hair and a short, clean-cut beard.
