CHICAGO (WLS) -- University of Chicago professor Jason Lieb, a prominent molecular biologist, has resigned as he was being investigated for sexual harassment.

The university claims Lieb violated the school's misconduct policy. He's accused of making unwelcome sexual advances to several female students at an off-campus retreat.

After an investigation, the university recommended Lieb be fired from his job, but he resigned before then.
