Urban Prep Bronzeville student choked by classmate, mother says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A mother claims her son was choked by a classmate during at Urban Prep Academy in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood.

Police said a 16-year-old student told them another 16-year-old male student grabbed him by the neck around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

After the teen's parents were notified, they took him to University of Chicago Hospital, where he was treated and later released.
