VIDEO: Man gets 40 years for armed robbery, throws feces at his attorney

SPRINGFIELD, OH -- An Ohio man sentenced to 40 years in prison for armed robbery let the court know of his displeasure, throwing feces at his attorney.

After learning of his sentence, local station WDTN reports 46-year-old Ricky Hand took out pill bottles filled with human waste and started throwing it toward his lawyer.

The bottles were hidden in an arm sling he was wearing.

Courtroom officials quickly restrained Hand, who may now face additional charges related to the outburst.

Authorities say Hand is a career criminal who committed dozens of robberies.

Officials are now investigating how Hand was able to smuggle the bottles into court.
