Walk to End Alzheimer's returns to Chicago
Thousands of people are expected to attend the event, which raises money and awareness to fight Alzheimer's disease.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- On September 25, 2016, the Alzheimer's Association invites you to join their Walk to End Alzheimer's at Montrose Harbor in Chicago. Thousands of people are expected to attend the event, which raises money and awareness to fight Alzheimer's disease. The Walk to End Alzheimer's features a 3.1 mile walk and a tribute ceremony to honor those affected by the disease. Currently, more than 220,000 Illinois Residents are living with Alzheimer's. There is no way to prevent, treat, or cure this disease.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Reagan Hogerty, one of the top fundraisers for the walk, sat down with ABC 7 Eyewitness News to talk about the importance of the upcoming event.
