West Chicago man charged in hit-and-run

WEST CHICAGO, Ill. (WLS) -- A West Chicago man is charged in a hit-and-run crash that was caught on surveillance video.

Jose Ballines was cutting his lawn Friday when he was hit by a white minivan. He suffered only minor injuries. The driver did not stop.

Wednesday, Eulalio Garcia turned himself into police. Investigators say he admitted to being behind the wheel.

Garcia is charged with a misdemeanor. He is due in court in June.
