WHEATON, Ill. (WLS) -- A Wheaton College student is accused of secretly recording a female student while she showered in a campus-owned apartment.

Alexander Lim, 24, accused of secretly videotaping a female student while she showered in a school apartment.

The woman called police after noticing a watch with a lens in its face pointed at her in the shower. The device, police say, is a "spy view camera watch."

Prosecutors say Lim may have been taping the woman since October.

Students expressed disbelief on the campus of Wheaton College Tuesday night.

"It's just really sad to me, and I feel for the girl and hope she's okay and can recover from this," said Lizzy Atkinson, a student at Wheaton College.

"That is basically as offensive as it gets. If that were to ever happen, I don't know what my reaction would be," said Jennifer Berg, a student at Wheaton College.

The evangelical college and alma mater of Billy Graham said in a statement: "The actions that Mr. Lim is accused of would be a violation of College policies and the Community Covenant we agree to live by. We are eager to comply with the authorities investigating this matter, and will provide ongoing care to everyone affected by this situation."

Lim is being held on $75,000 bond. He's charged with one count of unauthorized video recording, a felony punishable by up to three years in prison.
