Woman, 34, killed after jumping from SUV on Bishop Ford, police say

A 34-year-old Chicago woman was killed Saturday after she jumped out of an SUV on the Bishop Ford Expressway, according to the Illinois State Police.

The woman was identified as Monique Lofton, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

At about 10:45 a.m., a blue Ford Escape was traveling northbound, just south of East 130th Street near south suburban Dolton, when the female passenger jumped out of the car for unknown reasons, officials said.

A 55-year-old Chicago woman was driving the SUV.
