LAKELAND, Fla. -- A Florida woman was arrested after police said she was driving drunk - and streaming it live on Periscope.

Whitney Beall, 23, started the Periscope broadcast at a bar and then got behind the wheel of her car.

Dozens of people watched as she announced her condition on the streaming app. That's when viewers called 911.

"I'm driving home drunk...I am really drunk," she says in the video. "This is horrible guys."

A quick-thinking police officer downloaded the app and watched the live feed. He figured out where Beall was driving and pulled her over.

The officer smelled alcohol on her breath and arrested her. She was charged with driving under the influence after failing several field sobriety tests and refusing to take a breathalyzer.
