Woman fatally struck by vehicle in Gary

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Police in Gary, Ind., asked the public for help identify a 37-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night.

Responding officers found the victim in the 2000-block of Broadway around 8 p.m. The driver and vehicle remained at the scene.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:15 p.m. by deputies with the Lake County Coroner's Office.
