ANTIOCH, Ill. (WLS) -- A 26-year-old woman was killed Monday night after the vehicle she was driving struck a tree near north suburban Antioch.

Lake County Sheriff's Deputies responded around 10:15 p.m. to a report of a crash near West North Avenue and Burning Bush lane in unincorporated Antioch.

Megan Rail, of Round Lake Beach, was headed west on North Avenue when she lost control of the SUV and hit a tree, investigators said.

Rail was not wearing a seat belt, investigators said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are looking into whether drugs, alcohol or speed were a factor in the crash.
