Woman killed in Pilsen hit-and-run near 16th, Morgan

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A female driver was killed in a hit-and-run crash Monday night near 16th and Morgan in the Pilsen neighborhood.

Witnesses said a woman was driving northbound on Morgan when her vehicle was T-boned by a Ford Mustang at a four-way intersection around 8:45 p.m.

Emergency crews had to cut the woman from her vehicle. There were no other passengers in the car.

She was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released.

Witnesses said two occupants in the Mustang fled the scene on foot.

Chicago police are continuing to investigate.
