Newly-released dash cam video shows 61-year-old Leslie Thurow of Mount Prospect running over Illinois Trooper Michael Cokins on the Tri-State Tollway near North Avenue in September of 2014. After hitting Thurow, police said she hit an SUV carrying a family of four.

Cokins survived, but suffered 15 broken bones, underwent eight surgeries and 17 months of therapy, police said. He returned to duty this past May.
