Woman shot in leg walking out of store with son, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman is recovering after getting shot in the leg on Chicago's Northwest Side around 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. in the 5200 block of West Diversey.

Police tell ABC7 Eyewitness News that the woman was walking out of a Dollar Store with her son when someone shot her in the leg.

Medics treated her at the scene for her injuries.

There is no word of any arrests made in connection with the shooting.
