Animal House Shelter hosts annual Dash for the Dogs
The Animal House Shelter is letting runners race with their pets in the fifth annual Dash for the Dogs.

BARRINGTON, Ill. (WLS) -- The Animal House Shelter is letting runners race with their pets in the fifth annual Dash for the Dogs. The run begins at 7 a.m. on May 17, 2015, in Barrington. The 5K run and family fun walk raises much needed funds for the medical bills and other needs of the animals at the shelter. The Animal House believes every animal deserves a chance at a loving home. Because of this, they take on many animals with injuries and medical conditions which require extensive and expensive medical treatment.

Cynthia Ritter, director of the Animal House Shelter, joined ABC 7 live from the Dash for the Dogs to explain all the ways the money raised will help.
