Heartbreaking: Boy writes letter to 'bad men' who stole his puppy
This story about a boy's lost pet is quite the tearjerker.
Ethan Ferrier was 2 years old when his family's pet dog Fern had been stolen from their farm in the United Kingdom, according to The Telegraph.
Ethan, now four years old, recently learned how to write, and decided to pen a letter to the "bad men" who stole his beloved dog.
"To the bad men who took Fern," Ethan's letter started. "Can Fern come home now please I miss her Ethan (sic)."
Ethan's mother Jodie Ferrier, 32, believes the dog was stolen for breeding after the popularity of black spaniels skyrocketed when Prince William and Kate Middleton were seen walking their spaniel Lupo in February 2013. According to The Telegraph, Ethan's dog was stolen just two months later.
"Ethan was very, very upset when Fern was taken from our farm - he would ask over and over again why anyone would want to take her from us," Ferrier told The Telegraph. "He has never forgotten about Fern and always asks us where we think she is and if she is happy. He asks me every morning if Fern is coming back home and I have to tell him I don't know - it's heartbreaking."
Ethan's letter soon turned into a viral campaign, with many offering their support and help to find Fern.
