Dog food truck - mobile meals for man's best friend.

SEATTLE -- You can find burgers and barbeque; seafood and sandwiches. And every day it seems like Seattle's "food truck scene" is getting even bigger.

Now there's one more munchery on wheels. But it caters to a different clientele.

Like most chefs, Dawn Ford spends hours in the kitchen almost every day crafting cupcakes and making pretzels.

She had the bright idea for the Seattle Barkery about a year ago, to take her munchies mobile to her most valuable customers - man's best friend, KOMO-TV reports.

She and her husband Ben are among the latest addition to the local food truck scene -- specializing in canine cuisine. They set up shop at local dog parks and welcome customers on two legs and four.

The truck's best seller is the bacon pupcake.

"Overall everyone really, really is excited about it," Ford said.

The Ford family came up with the idea for the 'barkery' as professional dog walkers.

Dawn Ford started baking homemade treats, which fetched quite a following, especially from their own dog, nicknamed "chief tasting officer."

"He takes everything pretty seriously. Don't let the tongue fool you. He's all business all the time," Dawn Ford said.

The Fords are now doing it pretty much full-time.

"It's a lot of fun. And the dogs love their treats. They're totally addicted," said Melissa Banker, customer.

All tips at the barkery go to benefit The Old Dog Haven, a non-profit that helps senior pets.
