Chicago police are looking for a man seen on surveillance video who attempted to assault a woman working at a Lincoln Square perfume store.

The attack happened Thursday afternoon at Palette Fragrances in the 4800-block of Western Avenue, police said.

Police said the man entered the store and continually asked the lone female employee questions. He then ran behind the counter and attempted to attack the victim.

The employee was able to safely run outside, police said. The incident was captured on surveillance video.

The woman was not hurt. Police said the man damaged several items inside the store and then fled.

The suspect is described by police as a Hispanic man, 35-45 years old, 6'0" to 6'2" tall and 250-280 pounds. He was wearing a maroon Blackhawks hat backward, a dark-colored T-shirt, dark colored-jeans and black Timberland shoes. He was also carrying a black hooded jacket and had several tattoos on his lower right arm.
