Dr. Thomas Rudd drops out of Lake County Coroner race

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- There will be one less contender in the race for Lake County Coroner.

Dr. Thomas Rudd. Who currently holds the post, has dropped out. He played a key role in the investigation into the death of Fox Lake Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz.

His departure from the March primary ballot leaves Michael Donnenwirth of Waukegan as the lone Democrat in the race.
