LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Republican candidate for Illinois governor Bruce Rauner dodged more questions Saturday about his 2013 income, one day after releasing a partial tax return from last year.

"My tax rate is 27 percent paid on my income," he said. Twenty-seven percent, dramatically higher income tax paid than Pat Quinn, and you know what, and I give back very much in our community, whether it's supporting the Red Cross or public education," Quinn said.

While campaigning in far north suburban Libertyville, Rauner acknowledged that he earned nearly $61 million last year.

But he would not say how he earned some of his income.
