CHICAGO (WLS) -- A special ceremony is planned Sunday at Holy Name Cathedral to honor the late Francis Cardinal George one month after his death.

The archdiocese will raise his ceremonial hat called a "Galero" to the cathedral's ceiling.

Chicago's five previous cardinals' hats are already hanging there. The hats will remain in the cathedral until they turn to dust, as a symbol of human mortality.

The Mass, scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Sunday, is open to the public.
