CHICAGO (WLS) -- A photographer's notebook belonging to a surgeon who accompanied Robert Falcon Scott on his exploration in Antarctica has been discovered, preserved in ice.

It contains notes in pencil about photos George Levick took in 1911.

The notebook is now one of 11,000 preserved artifacts unearthed at Scott's camp at Cape Evans in Antarctica.
