Toys "R" Us, Target, JCPenney to extend hours for last-minute holiday shopping

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One week before Christmas, retailers are planning to stay open later in the coming days to give procrastinators more time to finish their shopping.

Next week, Toys "R" Us will open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and stay open through 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Target will stay open until midnight on certain days and offer same-day pickup.

JCPenney also has extended holiday hours, and plans another round of doorbuster deals this Saturday.

And if you prefer to shop online, Amazon is offering same-day delivery on Christmas Eve for orders placed by 10 a.m. for customers in 12 metro areas, including Chicago.
