100 Club of Chicago hosts Family Day
The 100 Club of Chicago is honoring the families of fallen police officers, firefighters, and other first responders.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The 100 Club of Chicago is honoring the families of fallen police officers, firefighters, and other first responders with a Family Day at Brookfield Zoo on Sunday, August 7, 2016. More than 260 families have been invited to attend the event.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson and Chicago Fire Commissioner Jose Santiago, as well as members of other jurisdictions from across the Chicagoland area, will be on hand to meet the families. There will also be a procession led by police motorcade, Honor Guards and Pipes & Drums saluting the family members. The ceremonies begin at 11:00 a.m.

The 100 Club of Chicago is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2016. Joe Ahern, CEO of the 100 Club of Chicago, joined ABC 7 live from the Brookfield Zoo to talk about the Family Day.
