NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- About 7,000 runners from 40 U.S. states and 10 other countries are part of the 2014 Edward Hospital Naperville Marathon & Half-Marathon. The all-streets course winds through downtown Naperville and 26 of Naperville's neighborhoods. Registration for this year's second annual race is more than twice the number of runners from last year. Among the runners this year is ABC 7 reporter John Garcia.

Many of the runners are raising money for good causes, too.

Race director Craig Bixler and Mayor A. George Pradel of Naperville (www.naperville.il.us) joined us live from the race course during our ABC 7 Eyewitness News Sunday Morning to tell us about the race.
