CHICAGO (WLS) -- A big show tonight at Navy Pier gave hundreds of Chicago children a chance to show off just what they did this summer.

The annual "After School Matters" gala not only showcases the students work, it also raises money for the organization.

For the first time ever, the gala featured a live auction of two unique pieces of artwork. The first is a Beatles-themed bench painted by teens and signed by Sir Paul McCartney. The other was a first of its kind drawing of E.T. and R2D2 by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose also announced Tuesday night that he will make a $1,000,000 donation to After School Matters.
