CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago is celebrating Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month. Beginning at noon on Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, several cultural groups will perform at Daley Plaza.
Martino Tangkar, chairman of the Asian American Festival, and Elsie Sy-Niebar, with the Chicago Philippine Press Club, joined ABC 7 in studio to talk about this year's events. Dancers also performed the Tinikling, a traditional Philippine dance featuring bamboo poles.
