Aurora officers distribute meals at food pantry

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- The Aurora Police Department joined the holiday effort to help the less fortunate when officers distributed food at a food pantry on Highland Avenue Friday afternoon.

Officers did the same thing on Christmas Eve.

The Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry has been putting food on the tables for its clients in need for over 50 years.

Each year, the pantry supplements the nutritional needs for over 5,200 underserved families and individuals in Kane County and surrounding counties.
