BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- A 7-year-old northwest suburban boy born with a heart defect got a big surprise.
Adam Broderson got to be a Buffalo Grove police officer for a day.
When he was sworn in Wednesday, he promised to protect his partner, catch bad guys and be nice to the citizens of Buffalo Grove. Then he went out on patrol and made a simulated traffic stop.
It's his dream to be an officer when he grows up.
