Break bad sleeping habits
Students are heading back to school, and that means they need plenty of rest.

Students are heading back to school, and that means they need plenty of rest. But even parents need to catch some shuteye to have a happy, productive day. And if you're waking up in the middle of the night, or feeling groggy when you wake up, there are some tips to break your bad sleeping habits.

First, avoid eating or drinking water too close to bedtime. Anxiety can also give you a restless night, so try not going to bed angry or with unresolved issues. Although it can be comfy, avoid falling asleep on the couch and get into a healthy bedtime routine. And lastly, don't drink too much caffeine or alcohol throughout the day; you should cut off caffeine 8 hours before bed and alcohol should be cut-off 2 hours before bedtime. Health and wellness expert Stephanie Mansour joined ABC7 with more tips to getting healthy sleep.
