Casa Central social service agency celebrates 60th anniversary
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Casa Central is the largest Hispanic social service agency in the Midwest, and it is celebrating a major milestone: its 60th anniversary. The group helps 20,000 individuals every year with services that include home care for seniors; home visits to intact families; housing help for the homeless; child development and after-school programs; domestic violence prevention and intervention; job training and more.
Casa Central is celebrating its anniversary with a gala, and ABC7 is an event sponsor. Ann Alvarez, president and CEO of Casa Central, and Galilea Landeros, Youth Opportunities Unlimited participant, came into our ABC7 Eyewitness News studio to tell us about the gala and the organization's programs.
