WHEATON, Ill. (WLS) -- On Father's Day, a race is helping those in need. The first Father's Day Freedom 5K Run/2 Mile Walk is at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton.
Atul Akhand, assistant race director and president of Captivating Signs, and Mary McCracken, regional marketing director of Nerium International, which raises money for Big Brothers Big Sisters, joined us live from the race site during our ABC 7 Eyewitness News to tell us about the event and the causes it supports.
