Des Plaines mayor completes ALS ice bucket challenge

DES PLAINES, Ill. (WLS) -- Des Plaines Mayor Matthew Bogusz completed the ALS ice bucket challenge just before Monday night's council meeting.

He then challenged mayors in surrounding towns to take part.

The ice bucket challenge raises awareness and money to fight ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
