CHICAGO -- Former Senator Elizabeth Dole is making it her duty to support the caregivers of our nation's wounded veterans.

Senator Dole, who spent more than three decades in the Capitol as both the secretary of transportation and secretary of labor, was North Carolina's first female senator and the head of the American Red Cross.

Her foundation has partnered with Easter Seals to launch the Hidden Heroes Campaign. Hidden Heroes honors those, including Andrea Simone, who help and care for our nation's wounded veterans. Simone's husband, Tony, suffered a severe brain injury while serving for the US Air Force in Afghanistan.

Easter Seals also offers monthly seminars for caregivers, and is holding a veterans job event in Chicago on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
