ABC 7 Eyewitness News salutes Navy Fire Controlman 3rd Class Rickey Henson of Highland, Ind.

Henson graduated from Highland High School and is now serving aboard the USS Cole, which was attacked by Al Queda on Oct. 12, 2000. During that attack, 17 sailors were killed, and each one of them is remembered with an engraved star on the ship. Henson says days like that attack and 9/11 are the reason why he joined the military. Henson says he is proud of the work he is doing with more than 250 shipmates as they deploy across the globe.
