Greater Chicago Food Depository starts week of donation activities

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Greater Chicago Food Depository kicked off its annual food drive with a One City, One Food Drive celebration at Merchandise Mart Monday.

They are hosting a Thanksgiving week full of activities to raise awareness as well as collect food for hunger relief in Cook County.

The campaign includes more than 500 organizations and 250 drop-off locations.

The food depository says they serve more than 230 households every year.
