For our brave service men and women returning from overseas, sometimes life back home can come with unique challenges. (WLS)

For our brave service men and women returning from overseas, sometimes life back home can come with unique challenges. A shockingly high number of service members are returning with injuries and even the soldiers without physical wounds are having a hard time adjusting back into the "real world". Now the non-profit Take a Vet Fishing is giving back for their sacrifices. Created in 2011, Take a Vet Fishing provides emotional support and rehabilitation to those who serve. Their mission: support veterans and their families with through PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) with outings and trips.

Veterans and volunteers are going out for a day on the water in Fox Lake at Antioch on Sunday May 15, 2016. Take a Vet Fishing days are always free for everyone. President and Co-Founder of Take a Vet Fishing, Jay Garstecki, joined ABC 7 live in Antioch from the big event.
