CHICAGO (WLS) -- New technology at a Chicago building will soak up some sun while helping to preserve the planet.

The Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) in the city's Uptown neighborhood is celebrating its "Sustainable September."

Tuesday it unveiled nearly 500 solar panels at its "Greenrise" building on North Sheridan.

The ICA says this is the largest solar panel installation of its kind outside of downtown Chicago.
