Illinois Treasurer hosts Women's History Month event

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Illinois is celebrating Women's History Month.

An event at the Thompson Center on Tuesday honored several local women for their accomplishments, especially in the fields of finance and community outreach.

Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs hosted the celebration and our colleague Evelyn Holmes was emcee.
