HOUSTON -- In effort to tackle drunk driving, Lyft and Budweiser has teamed up to offer rides every weekend through the remainder of the year.

During Budweiser's "Give a Damn. Don't Drive Drunk" campaign, up to 150,000 total round-trip rides will be offered during weekends and holidays. The rides are available across Illinois, Texas, New York, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Georgia and Washington, D.C.

'Making it home safe at the end of the night starts with getting a ride at the beginning of the night. Give a damn. Don't drive drunk," Budweiser said in a Facebook post.

To get the free $20 ride credit, which Lyft said equals two $10 one-way rides, users must get a ride code from Budweiser's Facebook or Instagram page each Thursday at 1 p.m. CT.

The credits can be redeemed for rides taken between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
