Pillow Talk: An unwelcomed advance

He wrote: "A female friend told me a maddening story. She went out with a guy she's known for a couple of months and really likes him. While out to dinner, her date's friend sees them and comes over to the table. He proceeds to sit in between my friend and her date. Suddenly my friend said she felt the hand of her date's friend on her knee, stroking her leg while smiling and talking to her date. She moved his hand away without making a scene, but he put it back on her leg. She didn't tell her date what happened to avoid spoiling the night, but how should she have handled the situation? She's a shy girl, not one to make a scene."
