Thousands run Jim Gibbons 5K for leukemia research

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of people ran in the park Thursday for the 22nd Annual ABC 7 Jim Gibbons Run and Walk for leukemia research.

The Grant Park 5K run and walk honors friend and former ABC 7 colleague Jim Gibbons, who died from leukemia in 1994.

The 2016 winners are Kyle Larson in the men's division and Gabrielle Hesslau in the women's division.
