As most of the nation has been pummeled with a terrible winter, one university student said he wouldn't come to class unless the president came by and shoveled his driveway. Surprising enough, the president did just that.

Student Devan Danelly challenged Eastern Kentucky University President Michael Benson, Ph. D., to the task over Twitter on Tuesday Feb. 17 after Benson tweeted a photo of himself shoveling snow, asking students to help clear out the campus for Wednesday's classes.

When Danelly suggested he wouldn't come to class anyway because of the snow, Benson accepted the challenge, arriving at Danelly's home just two hours later with a shovel.

Though class ended up being cancelled for Wednesday, Dannelly upheld his half of the deal.

Being inspired by Benson's actions, dozens of other EKU students took to the streets with shovels, helping clear out the campus and other students' driveways.

After receiving nationwide attention for the event, Dannelly joked that he should challenge other presidents to do chores for him.
