CHICAGO (WLS) -- Friends and family are remembering the life of an East Garfield Park mail carrier who was fatally shot outside his home.
They held a vigil Thursday morning in honor of Anthony Hayes near the scene of the deadly shooting at Warren and Francisco.
Police say the 27-year-old was in his car and about to leave for work Tuesday morning when someone opened fire.
His family thinks it was a case of mistaken identity. Police are still searching for the shooter.
