CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Blackhawks have traded Marcus Kruger to Las Vegas in exchange for future considerations, the team announced Sunday.

Used primarily as a checking-line forward, Kruger had five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 70 games last season.

The Blackhawks thanked Kruger, a two-time Stanley Cup winner, on Twitter and wished him luck with the Golden Knights.
