Chicago Bears donate to help Platteville, Wis. tornado repair

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (WLS) -- The Chicago Bears donated $50,000 to help the University of Wisconsin-Platteville repair damage caused by a tornado.

The team presented a check to school officials Friday.

The Bears have ties to Platteville, where the team held its summer training camp from 1984 to 2001.

Last month's twister damaged several buildings and the school's football stadium.
