Jason Brown, Highland Park Olympic skater, gives away toys

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An Olympic athlete turned a skating tradition into a way to brighten the holidays for some children.

Highland Park's own Jason Brown visited the Ronald McDonald house in Chicago. He took some of the stuffed animals that fans have thrown onto the ice for him and gave them to the children.

A couple of kids even got to wear Brown's Olympic medal.
